Show Them to Me

23 06 2008

I’d like to meet the guy who painstakingly put together this “music video” of infamous full frontal shots.

Come to think about it, I probably wouldn’t want to meet the guy.

Lui Magazine

19 06 2008

“Lui was a French adult entertainment magazine created in November 1963. The objective was to be bring some charm «à la française» to the market of man-only magazines, following the success of Playboy in the USA, launched just a decade before. France, indeed, in the first half of XXth century had an outstanding reputation for erotic publications, feeding also foreign markets and inspiring also ersatz France-flavoured magazines abroad, when, for example, US publishers used French-assonating titles like Chère and Dreamé or placed tricolour flags on the covers, attempting to attract the casual buyer. This magazine was particularly successful from its origins to the early eighties, featuring many B-List but also prominent French actresses, such as Brigitte Bardot, Mireille Darc or Marlène Jobert. Its motto was Lui, le magazine de l’homme moderne.”

Seems as though Germany is buzzing about a new book entitled Feuchtgebiete or Wetlands. Whats all the buzz about? Well, apparently the book is about an 18-year-olds genital grooming habits, adventures in anal sex, and avocado pits as objects of female sexual satisfaction, amongst other things.

The author is Charlotte Roche who is a German “television personality” and not to mention, quite a hottie.

I know when I’m about to have sex, I would like nothing more than to tear open a condom wrapper bearing my image. You know, to remind me how awesome I am.

The Economics of Prostitution

20 05 2008

Economists at the University of Chicago did a study concering the economics of street-level prostitution. They found:

““A prostitute is more likely to have sex with a police officer than to get officially arrested by one.”

Furthermore, the data they collected suggests that street prostitution yields an average wage of $27 per hour. Given the relatively limited hours that active prostitutes work, this generates less than $20,000 annually for a women working year round in prostitution. While the wage of a prostitute is four times greater than the non-prostitution earnings these women report (approximately $7 per hour), there are tremendous risks associated with life as a prostitute. According to the estimates, a woman working as a prostitute would expect an annual average of a dozen incidents of violence and 300 instances of unprotected sex.

Total Bummer.

Ellie Idol: a interview

13 05 2008

In the adult industry, there a few girls that have the special little something which could make them a “star”; but because of bad agents, typecasting, or just plain old laziness, they never really make it anywhere. Ellie Idol is one of those girls. Her dark hair, and pale skin first caught my eye when she was featured in a video on brandibelle.com. At the time, I wasn’t able to find much of her work, but after some research I found that she booked under 3 different alias’. Luckily, I was able to get her email address and do an internet interview late last year before she “retired”, to learn a little bit more about her.

Ellie, Chloe, Collie, why so many alias’? What’s the definitive name you want to be known as? Well, when I first got into it, the first person I worked for told me he wanted me to go as Collie (which is actually my real name) because he thought it was cute and fitting of my personality. The second person I worked for ended up shooting me pretty regularly so he decided to make a website of it, but actually ended up recycling an old web address; dirtylittlechloe.com. The OLD Chloe was actually a cute petite little Asian girl. Now, Ellie Idol became my name when I started doing hardcore movies. Ellie is derived from my middle name and Idol well, to clear things up comes from BILLIE IDOL……not that crappy TV show American Idol (hope I didn’t offend anyone).

How did you get into the industry? My friend “Bailey Brooks” was doing it, I said to myself, “Hey, I watch porno, maybe I should be in one!” I contacted a Seattle based website and it just went from there.

You’ve mostly stuck to the “reality porn” genre, is this something you’ve purposely chosen to do? Not at all. My agent finds me work. Honestly, I’d love to do either more alternative stuff or stuff with themes, like Cosplay/fetish porn. The reality thing gets old…..and cheesy fast.

You obviously have the aesthetics to be in the whole “alt porn” thing. Do you plan to trying to do some “alt porn” in the future? Oh, I HOPE to be. I’d absolutely love to work with Vivid alt or hell, anything but reality porn. PLEASE! I am so sick of it. Haha… I’m also tired of playing the “innocent, naive” role. People who put me into that category obviously don’t know me all that well. I can play innocent sometimes, but really I’m a little sex demon when I want to be.

You’re from Seattle, do you live up there to stay sane and not be fully enveloped into the industry? Do you plan on making a permanent move to Los Angeles? I stay in Seattle for my friends, for my family, and my man. I’m not quite ready to make the transition to move to LA yet. Though I’m not saying it won’t happen eventually. I actually just started making payments on a house I bought up here in Seatown, so I can’t move just yet.

We all know the careers of women in porn tend to be a bit short. How much longer do you want to be a performer? Do you want to build a life-long career like say, Jenna Jameson? If you do plan on leaving the industry what would be the next chapter for Ellie Idol? Honestly, I want to be the one behind the scenes. I want to start my own company with my man and our friend, and film something different and more progressive for the industry. I hope we succeed!

What is the best thing you did in the past year? The best thing, would have to be getting rid of the people who were holding me back in life. I’ve moved on, and now feel like I can do anything.

What is your favorite purchase of the past year? My NINTENDO DS!!!! Holy crap. When you’re traveling……it really helps pass the time. I’m currently playing the new Zelda game. It’s very addicting!

What is your favorite sex act to do in your own time? Honestly, it’s not the act. It’s the person. Being able to have some really passionate loving sex with someone you love is the best. It doesn’t matter which way it’s done. Though I do like it doggy. <3

What kind of scenes would you like to do in the future that you haven’t already done? I’d love to do a feature sometime, though it seems as though that will soon become a reality. I just got casted to do a live-action make of a certain adult comic. I need to keep it hush-hush for now, but you’ll all see soon enough if you go to Comic-con next year! (Note: Ellie is talking about the live-action porno of Demi the Demoness. Where she gets her cos-play on by dressing up and having sex as a demoness with horns and wings!)

What are your favorite records/books/movies/art of the moment? Why? Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of the artist H.I.M. Everytime I put H.I.M. on, it puts me in this romantic dreamy state. I love it. I love his voice. It’s the ultimate in sexiness. My god. Also been listening to a lot of punk lately. It’s good party music. As far as books go, I don’t read many. I mostly read comic books (haha) but almost every book I’ve been willing to pick up has been by Chuck Palanuik. I fucking LOVE him. Hey, isn’t he from Seattle too?

237 Resons to Have Sex

12 05 2008

Why do you have sex? Experts at the University of Texas at Austin recently interviewed 1,900 people about their sex lives. The study found out that people have sex for 237 different reasons. Ranging from the the very funny to the deeply serious, including: I wanted a job, I wanted to change the topic of conversation, I was afraid my partner would have an affair if I didn’t and I wanted to feel loved.

The Texas psychologists also identified four major factors and 13 sub-factors for why people have sex:

  • Physical reasons such as to reduce stress (“It seemed like good exercise”), feel pleasure (“It’s exciting”), improve or expand experiences (“I was curious about sex”), and the physical desirability of their partner (“The person was a good dancer”).
  • Goal-based reasons, including utilitarian or practical considerations (“I wanted to have a baby”), social status (“I wanted to be popular”) and revenge (“I wanted to give someone else a sexually transmitted disease”).
  • Emotional reasons such as love and commitment (“I wanted to feel connected”) and expression (“I wanted to say ‘thank you’”).
  • Insecurity-based reasons, including self-esteem (“I wanted the attention”), a feeling of duty or pressure (“My partner kept insisting”) and to guard a mate (“I wanted to keep my partner from straying”)
